Kurşunlu Complex, located in Odunpazarı district, is a work of Ottoman period. To the southeast of the Kulliye is the Eskişehir Mevlevi Lodge. Eskişehir has two symphony orchestras operating under Anadolu University and the Metropolitan Municipality. The Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra, which was established with the aim of rooting and strengthening classical music in Anatolia, meets with the audience of Eskişehir two days a week. The Orchestra, consisting of a group of young artists, receives invitations to many local and foreign art organizations, and organizes concerts with world-renowned artists.
The International Eskişehir Festival occupies a very large and important place among the cultural and artistic activities in the city. Artists and art groups from many countries of the world meet in Eskişehir as part of the festival held every year in Autumn. Different branches of art, from classical music to ethnic music, from movies to theater and painting workshops, add a completely different atmosphere to Eskişehir for about 10 days. Another important art organization in Eskişehir is the International Children’s Theater Festival organized by the Metropolitan Municipality.
